Are you shy or an introvert…….or both?

To say my life is busy and varied right now is an understatement! However I am feeling very happy and content.   We have recently moved back to the UK for a while after living there for just over 3 years.  We will still be visiting regularly though.  I really like the fact that we move from one to the other quite a bit as both the UK and Spain then remain a novelty. I will miss my morning dog walks along the beach, but there are really nice things about the UK to replace those for a while. We have been looking at schools and colleges.  It’s been a bit of a learning experienc...

How to use the Law of Attraction in Your Network Marketing Business

I can’t imagine living today without knowing about the existence of The Law of Attraction. I first became aware of The Law of Attraction when I was introduced to The Secret film in 2005. I had always been a positive person, but didn't realise that this was contributing to how my life was working out. I still remember the day when a leader in our business announced on stage that everyone should “Watch this amazing film called The Secret” “It’ll change your life” he boldly said, in a broad Scottish accent that kind of gave the statement a lot more impact. We were just about to ...

My Top 5 Favourite Ted Talks

I have so much to thank Ted Talks for.  They have contributed towards making me feel more confident, more relaxed, more inspired, more grateful, they have taught me how to be a better communicator, a better dreamer, they have encouraged me to think bigger, to follow my dreams, they have generally helped me to become a better person. They are where I head when I feel like I need to be motivated, inspired, or encouraged and they are also where I head when I don't need any of those things, just when I simply want to learn more and more. They have also lead me to some of my favourite mentors...

How a few simple changes are making an amazing difference in 2017

So I thought a good idea for this blog post would be to share with you what is going on with me and the progress I have made so far in 2017. I can’t believe its already March!  The year is certainly well under way! After a really long Christmas in the UK, we arrived back in Spain to really wintery weather would you believe! It has just started to settle down and the sun is now shining I am happy to say. First of all, I am going to show you what I am reading at the moment as I think reading is so, so important. It's the first place I would suggest to start if things are not going quite as ...

How to control blushing

I wanted to write a blog post about blushing as the subject comes up so many times when I am talking to people. You may blush because you are self conscious, anxious and/or shy.  Whatever the reason, it may be getting in the way of how you want to live your life.  It may be preventing you from doing things that you want to do. I talk in my first book about how my chest used to go really red and blotchy when I got up to speak in public or when anyone asked me a question.  This doesn’t happen as much now but the temporary measure that I used was to just cover up and wear somethin...

Are you ready for a successful year?

Happy New Year! I hope you are having a great 2017 so far! I have been loving being at home for the Christmas period, we started the drive back from Spain on 21st December and arrived here on the 22nd, just enough time to put up the decorations, finalise the Christmas shopping and wrap all the presents! Christmas Day itself was lovely, a really relaxing time, it was a well earned rest for everyone really.  We have been extremely busy in Spain recently as our company have just launched over there.  The children have also been having a really busy time at school with lots of homework an...

A perfect business for shy people

In this post I want to explain why I feel that network marketing is a perfect fit for shy people. Growing up being a shy person was not easy for me. I was always referred to as the ‘quiet one’ and this always made me feel even more self-conscious. At school, I dreaded the time when it was my turn to read in English and I hated class discussions, living in constant fear that I would be picked to contribute. When I embarked on my career things didn’t get any easier. I had quite a responsible job in a hospital laboratory, but I was very unhappy there because I found it hard to communicate w...

How to use your subconscious mind for success

I am reading one of my favourite books of all time again at the moment: "The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy. I have this book on my kindle device, but I am definitely going to invest in a paperback copy as well.  I don't think I have ever highlighted so much in one book!  Highlighting is possible with a kindle book, but I feel that it will be more powerful to have the physical book in my hand with the highlighted sections clearly visible and then I can also make notes on the pages too. I knew that this book was powerful the first time I read it, but this time it fee...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 30

Well, here I am writing the last post of this 30 day blog.  It has been a lot of fun, although sometimes it has been a little challenging too.  Some nights I have been struggling to keep my eyes open whilst writing and I did in fact make some silly spelling mistakes early on that were kindly pointed out to me so I could correct them! I feel that it has been a really worthwhile exercise as I have had to be disciplined and write every day.  Up until now there hasn't really been any pattern to my blog postings and now I have done this, I feel that I will quite comfortably be able to write much...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 28

I am sitting in our hotel room at the moment writing this while Jaime is doing his stage walk ready for his presentation later on.  Because Jaime is speaking, we are staying at the Hyatt in Birmingham and it is beautiful.  I am so grateful to be staying in such luxury!      We had a great day yesterday, after Jaime's rehearsal we walked over to the shops and had a look at the new Grand Central Shopping Centre. Its amazing, all built around Birmingham New Street station. We went into Foyle's bookstore and had a browse.  I love bookshops, I went straight to the personal growth secti...
