30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 25

Today, we went for a lovely walk.  We are really lucky to have some lovely open countryside very close by.  This is one of the things I really appreciate when I am here in the UK.  Spain is very beautiful too, but in a different way.       Paco has just learned how to stay with us when he is off his lead, so he had a fantastic time running around and he enjoyed his freedom. I cannot explain how much fun this little dog provides, for a small dog he has such a big personality.  He is the second dog we have owned as a family.  One of the first goals I had when I started worki...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 8

I have had the perfect day today, first I wrote my blog for yesterday as for the first time since starting it I didn't write it last thing at night.  I like writing at night as everything I have experienced during the day is still fresh in my mind. Once the blog was uploaded our whole family went out for a walk with our dog.  We are very fortunate to have Trentham Gardens about a mile away which is a shopping village and garden centre set amongst beautiful Italian gardens that were restored a few years ago.  It was a lovely and sunny here today and it felt like we really were on holiday! ...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 5

Wow - I can't believe we are on day 5 already, the days are flying by! I got the day off to a great start this morning by watching an interview with Anthony Robbins about his new documentary film, I Am Not Your Guru.  I am really looking forward to watching this film.  He is such an inspirational guy. I have spent quite a lot of the day driving my children around.  One of the trips was to drop one of my daughter's to her cousin's house so that she could go with her other cousin to sleep over at their house! Lost yet?  Anyway I dropped her off, had a chat with my sister in law's and then ...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 3

Today has been a really productive day - amongst lots of other things I have spoken to lots of people to show them our amazing network marketing business; and as per usual they were such a diverse range of people from all different backgrounds, looking for all sorts of different things. It is so interesting to find out about people and I do love to talk to them, however, I do have to do some preparation before I make the first call - I have to get myself into the right frame of mind.  I used to find it very difficult to pick up the phone but I found that the more I stepped out of my comfort...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 2

Today, amongst catching up on business calls and getting organised after our journey a few days ago, I made time for a bit of goal setting - my favourite pastime! I have always had a passion for property.  Ever since Jaime and I started out in our business and were introduced to goal setting, we have made it an essential part of our development. We moved into our first house when we were just 24, and it was at about that time that we were advised to write out our first list of goals.  We didn’t really understand what we were doing at the time, but we went along with it anyway.  We wrote do...

12 ideas to help you achieve your goals and dreams

Shy people often don't set and pursue goals because they think that the actions required will take them too far out of their comfort zone.   This is how I used think.  Although I wanted success, and I had a vision of what I wanted my life to look like, I didn't believe that it was possible for me, because I wasn't the right type of person. What I discovered was that anyone can achieve the things they want out of life if they develop the right habits and right mindset.  It didn't take a special kind of person, just a few new ideas incorporated into daily life.  When I looked into it, all sor...

The Power of Lists

I am a strong believer in writing and journaling to create a mindset for success.  Getting your thoughts out of your head and on to paper can be transformational. One of the easiest ways to do this is to write lists, and I am not talking about "To Do" lists here, although I do think they are fantastic. Something I have started to do is to write lists of good things that have happened in my life throughout the year. You can start now by putting the heading 2016 and writing things onto your list as they happen.  I now have lists for 2014, 2015 and a part written list for 2016.  When you...
