Are you shy or an introvert…….or both?

To say my life is busy and varied right now is an understatement! However I am feeling very happy and content.   We have recently moved back to the UK for a while after living there for just over 3 years.  We will still be visiting regularly though.  I really like the fact that we move from one to the other quite a bit as both the UK and Spain then remain a novelty. I will miss my morning dog walks along the beach, but there are really nice things about the UK to replace those for a while. We have been looking at schools and colleges.  It’s been a bit of a learning experienc...

Travelling, personal development and a new puppy!

We arrived back in England last week for the summer, I was really excited to come back this time, more than ever before really. We have been living in Spain for 3 years now, and it's the longest we have stayed there at one time.  Yes we have been back to the UK for weekends, summers and Christmas, but it’s never felt quite long enough, not for me anyway. The time goes so quickly when you are trying to make sure you have caught up with everyone and done everything that you need to do. In May we picked up our gorgeous new puppy Ramon, so travelling was going to be eventful!   ...

How to use the Law of Attraction in Your Network Marketing Business

I can’t imagine living today without knowing about the existence of The Law of Attraction. I first became aware of The Law of Attraction when I was introduced to The Secret film in 2005. I had always been a positive person, but didn't realise that this was contributing to how my life was working out. I still remember the day when a leader in our business announced on stage that everyone should “Watch this amazing film called The Secret” “It’ll change your life” he boldly said, in a broad Scottish accent that kind of gave the statement a lot more impact. We were just about to ...

How a few simple changes are making an amazing difference in 2017

So I thought a good idea for this blog post would be to share with you what is going on with me and the progress I have made so far in 2017. I can’t believe its already March!  The year is certainly well under way! After a really long Christmas in the UK, we arrived back in Spain to really wintery weather would you believe! It has just started to settle down and the sun is now shining I am happy to say. First of all, I am going to show you what I am reading at the moment as I think reading is so, so important. It's the first place I would suggest to start if things are not going quite as ...

How to control blushing

I wanted to write a blog post about blushing as the subject comes up so many times when I am talking to people. You may blush because you are self conscious, anxious and/or shy.  Whatever the reason, it may be getting in the way of how you want to live your life.  It may be preventing you from doing things that you want to do. I talk in my first book about how my chest used to go really red and blotchy when I got up to speak in public or when anyone asked me a question.  This doesn’t happen as much now but the temporary measure that I used was to just cover up and wear somethin...

A perfect business for shy people

In this post I want to explain why I feel that network marketing is a perfect fit for shy people. Growing up being a shy person was not easy for me. I was always referred to as the ‘quiet one’ and this always made me feel even more self-conscious. At school, I dreaded the time when it was my turn to read in English and I hated class discussions, living in constant fear that I would be picked to contribute. When I embarked on my career things didn’t get any easier. I had quite a responsible job in a hospital laboratory, but I was very unhappy there because I found it hard to communicate w...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 27

Today I have been preparing for the big weekend ahead.  We are off to Birmingham for our company's Christmas Launch conference. This morning I went to the hairdresser's and then this afternoon I have been packing and making up the guest bedroom ready for my parents who are moving in to look after the family while we are away. The weekend consists of a get together with our team on Friday evening, the actual conference on Saturday and then a dinner and dance on Saturday night.  On Sunday afternoon we are staying on for our monthly team key training so that we can discuss and act on any an...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 23

I love being in London!  I woke up this morning excited to be going for breakfast in the hotel.  There was such a fantastic choice, it was delicious! After breakfast we decided that we would spend the day wandering around Chelsea and then go to our lunch booking at 4pm at the Chelsea Garden Restaurant. We walked to Chelsea from Piccadilly passing all the gorgeous regency terraces, one of these homes is definitely on my list of goals! The high street in Chelsea (King's Road) is amazing - full of quirky shops and cafes.  We stopped at one of them for a coffee and sat watching people go...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 19

I have been out shopping yet again today, this time to the Trafford Centre in Manchester, with my mum, Sofia and her two Spanish friends.  The girls wanted to go off by themselves so me and my mum had a leisurely wander around, it was lovely.  Because of our last minute day out yesterday, I did have to take my laptop along today so that I could catch up with a few emails etc whilst we were sitting having a coffee. When we got back, I did a bit of work on the home study course I am writing at the moment, A Success Formula For Shy People.  I have been working on this for a while now and I'm r...

30 Days In The Life Of A Shy Entrepreneur – Day 15

I have had another amazing day at the farm.  This morning we took a short drive to a small seaside town called Arnside.  It is so long since I have been to the British seaside. I started to reminisce about family holidays as a child. We walked the dogs along the beach and then strolled down the high street to look at the quaint shops.    In the afternoon some of our newer team members joined us for a bbq at the farm and we were really fortunate that the sun came out and everyone had a great time. It was a small, friendly group of people today and my shyness didn’t really seem to ma...
