I thought I would write a post all about the power of belief, it’s something I’m really passionate about,  I love this subject, and it’s so, so powerful.

So, beliefs can really hold us back and stop us in our tracks, keep us from doing what we want to do.
When I was younger, although I was shy, deep down I had a real desire to achieve something one day, I always knew that was what I really wanted.

But then as I grew older, all the beliefs I had about being shy, stopped me from doing anything about it.  I had beliefs like…….I’m not good enough………I’m too shy……..I’m too quiet……quiet people don’t succeed.

And these beliefs really did affect me and stopped me from, from pursuing anything really. They were my limiting beliefs.

So, if you’ve grown up shy like me, you’ve  probably had similar beliefs too.

These beliefs can stem from various places.   Throughout your life people have maybe said things to you such as……

“You’re the quiet one” or “you’re too shy” or one that I used to hear a lot was “Adele never says anything”

So I just started to believe that I would never be able to make anything of myself. This went on for a long time, but eventually I realised that I could change the messages that I was telling myself, and I could create a new story, create a new script for my life.

And it really has been amazing since.

So you can change these beliefs, you can start to tell yourself new things, new stories, such as

“ I can do this”

“Shy people can succeed”

“I deserve to succeed”

“I am an awesome business owner”

“There is nothing too good for me”

“I am absolutely qualified”

There are so many alternative stories that you can create for yourself. You don’t have to settle for your current reality. The idea is to fill your mind with all these positive things so that that it’s less likely that negative things will slip in because there will be no room for them.

Really fill your mind up with positivity.

What I like to do is have things around me in the house.  I have positive quotes on the walls, I’ve got my affirmations there too.  And then in all my journals, I’ve got lists of affirmations, lists of quotes, lists of positive things that have happened to me, lists of goals.  I’m just surrounded by positive material.

So, there are lots of things you can do to create this positivity.

Now, here is the amazing thing.  Your subconscious mind is so powerful, that eventually, when you have said these things to yourself for long enough, your subconscious mind will start to believe that they are true for you.

Napoleon Hill said …..”Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”
You can train your mind to be successful, you can actually set to work on your mindset and create a mindset for success.

When you do this, things will change for the better and the great thing is that it starts happening almost immediately.

Once you have come up with your new positive phrases, say them over and over and over again and just keep repeating them constantly,  You don’t have to say them out loud, just say them to yourself. Constantly read through them.  I always read through my list of affirmations as I’m brushing my teeth in the morning.  It’s a really good way to start the day.

Read positive material as well, that can really help. Before long you’ll see that you can make a really big change and you can pursue all the things that you’ve ever wanted, all of your dreams and ambitions.
You can go for them now, and YOU CAN achieve them.
